![]() Tip #1 It is in your best interest to place this near lots of different types of terrain as your nuggets walk slow and it will take forever for them to gather supplies if it is far away. When you first create your world you get this cool (yet slightly condescending) narrator that tells you to place Epicenter. Now I’ve tried both and honestly, I tried to be somewhat in the middle but the latter of the two is way more exhausting so props to you if you succeed in being an overly involved god. You really have to choose what kind of god you are going to be, absent or overly involved. Let me start off by letting you know that this game is not as easy as it looks, and it took me quite a few times to get it right. ![]() So welcome to the walkthrough with tips for Universim Alpha version 0.5. I noticed that there are no real walkthroughs for this game, just lots of tips. Prussia is normally a good choice for army, G.B. It's really worthwhile to pick an advanced nation to be your trading partner. For example, in my US game Great Britain (+200) sold me techs for about 70k each, while Belgium (0) would only sell for upwards of 500k. And definately get good relations with countries you trade tech with. Once your research point production exceeds 9 a year then it becomes more important. Early in the game using this is kinda less worthwhile - its only really good for gaining specific techs like RR ones. You have 27 rp, buy 3 techs - now you have 0 research points. You can trade for as many technologies as you want - however, each one you gain will take away 9 research points. You can use open negotiations and trade things for technology. The way to get around this surfaces when your research point generation exceeds 9 a year. However, there is of course a limit - the fastest you can research a tech is in 1 year if you invest all 9 points. Research points are generated from your pops (more from clerks, prolly more from capitalist/other rich ppl as well) and from your literacy rate. ![]() How fast you research techs is dependent on research points invested. Maybe by 1955, (yes, nineteen fifty-five), I'll finally have a real RR in Sweden. I must be doing something wrong - this doesn't seem right. I guess I'll just have to wait another year or two. No one wants to trade me any tech, no matter how small it is, no matter what exorbitant price I'm willing to pay - even if I offer a better tech, plus all my cash. I mean really, playing as Sweden, what do I have to do to get my hands on the experimental RR? Denmark just wont cough it up, unless I give them all of Norway, all my cash, plus the tech I just researched. I'm also having a hard time getting tech from anyone else - unless I want to sell half of my nation. In Hearts of Iron, I could decide how much to spend on research, how many to work on at a time, prioritize projects, put others on the back burner, with certain long- and short-term objectives in mind. ![]() I 'invest' some more research points into the tech research (more clergymen & education spending), and it has absolutely no effect on when the tech will arrive. 1.) All techs take exactly one year to complete.Ģ.) I can only research one thing at a time. ![]()
